Of All

Of All

Of All

Of all the words we might compose
of all the things we could have said ~
for each excuse, each righteous thought
huge burdens weigh us down, instead.

For all the ‘sorrys’ in our minds
for all those ‘over-thinking’ routes
for all our re-imaginings
our angry second-guessing shouts:
we think we empty out our Core
but, there is more ~ there’s always more.

The ego makes us proper slaves
it speaks, and we can’t wait to act
but, later, in fate’s calmer climes
we cringe, and try to reel words back.

But, that’s the funny thing of words
their hatefulness burns quite a sting:
and all hearts, ever, must forgive
the bitter bite those words might bring.

All these lessons, we all must learn
they lift us to our common goals
but don’t despair the learning curve
which often helps evolve our roles.
Our Circle magnifies each time
we reach to those alone and strayed.
Our Circle deepens and expands
with every effort, ever, made.

No, your arrogance won’t save you.

  1. That’s right…I have always regretted angry words. These lessons we must learn, regardless of how many times they need to be repeated.
