The doers!

Doncha Love by Barbara Helvey Hughes, April 11, 2020
(As we walked briskly down the street chatting away, I remembered it was trash day and heard the truck before I saw it. This was inspired by that moment😊
Doncha Love the ones who strive to keep us safe
when we are vulnerable?
Doncha Love the givers? The doctors, nurses,
health care professionals. The EMTs, the body removers
the Death Workers…..
Doncha Love the grocery clerks,
the farmers, the field hands,
the grocery re-stockers,
the postal workers….
Doncha LOVE the trash removers,
the lawn workers. The ones who clean up.
Doncha Love the truck drivers,
the caring neighbors,
the ones who donate for those who have no home
no food, no medical help.
Doncha Love the ones who do not complain?
Doncha LOVE the ones who LIFT us,
who HELP us, who INSPIRE us,
who continue to find the best of who we all are,
who support without going negative,
who make us laugh,
who help us remember we are all in this TOGETHER,
who put people before money or power….
Who HELP us BE our very best.
Because, you know, it is ALWAYS
easier to take that low road.
We’ve all done it.
It is HARD to stay positive and have integrity,
compassion, LOVE.
It is EASY to complain and point fingers: we ALL do it.
It is HARD to understand the fear of another
and, rather than accelerate that fear and feed it,
attempt to squash it by being understanding and kind.
In ALL times, but especially during THIS time
KINDNESS MATTERS.
Doncha LOVE……PLEASE continue this list!!!
