We seek and hope to find.

We seek and hope to find.

Light, Entering

The day was bright and beautiful
the day was long attuned
the day was not like other days ~
Light entered every wound.

The day ached raw and held my pain
and, how was I to know
that day, which opened wide my heart
kept all those wounds aglow.

The day was like to any day
we rise and walk our Love
for that is all a day can be:
an arrow or a dove.

The day your Light streamed into me
the day my wounds cracked wide
that day was not like any day ~
I had no place to hide.

Some perfect days require of us
a presence seldom shown
for, most of us spend all our time
rewriting scripts we hone.
And, yes, we sow our every day
we sow those days we reap
and we decide for flowers, or
for every tear we weep.

If you decide to bare your wounds
and ask I do the same
and we allow our hearts to shine
with Light, instead of shame
those wounds, which never seemed to heal
might stream out Light to guide
our faltered steps from here to there
and dry the tears we’ve cried.
