seldom would occur to us<br>to question motives ~ or heartaches.<br>\u00a0<br>It seems to me that all of us<br>will live our lives in equal shares<br>the \u2018good\u2019, the \u2018bad\u2019, the undefined<br>soon fly away on wings of prayers.<br>\u00a0<br>With every step we venture forth:<br>the sure, the dubious, the slow,<br>the swift, unwavering, neat steps<br>conspire to help us as we go.<br>\u00a0<br>But if, in all its radiance,<br>the universe conspires a meet<br>and angels spread out full their wings<br>and our hearts join: become one beat.<br>Then, maybe all those dismal days<br>we suffered through and held our pain<br>like beggars guarding their mere crust:<br>the wounded shield their hearts again.<br>\u00a0<br>We stretch and strain from Parts Unknown.<br>Why can\u2019t we bear to be alone?<br>Alone, perhaps we find our Heart<br>and turn our backs on Parts Unknown.<br>\u00a0<br>Alone, alone, can make us whole<br>because when Zeus tore us apart<br>alone, alone, still fed our Soul:<br>bright phantoms of our \u2018other\u2019 half<br>confuse us as we try to chart<br>direct routes to our \u2018Other Heart\u2019<br>but I knew I would find you, Dear<br>and
