There Was a Time II…..

There Was a Time, II….
 
….when we all knew The Code ~ members of
The Tribe lived close and shared ideas,
experiences, wisdom. Our leaders thought and
planned generations ahead to insure the
future might be bright for our young ones.
Tribal councilors placed themselves at the rear
of the line and would never imagine to profit
from holding the esteemed position of Leader
because they understood Providence would always
provide that other “wise ones” following them
could take the reins and serve The People.
They knew they were one, of many.
 
There was a time when Leaders never placed
themselves above any tribal member, knowing that
to do so would merely confirm their unworthiness.
 
Genuine ‘Leaders’ knew the origin of their title:
“To go before, as a GUIDE” and understood
their place was one of Trust and Truth. And
nothing, NOTHING was more important than
insuring the health, safety and welfare of The People.
 
Greed and fear did not rule during that time.
 
There was a time. Long and long ago….. when
members joined together for the Good of All. 
Trust was Sacred.  Unity prevailed.  Wisdom ruled.
Still, today, we marvel at the foresight of those who
formed our nation and chiseled our Constitution
out of the words and influence of the wisest among us,
who knew that Trust and Truth must be paramount,
if we are to survive as more than simply base, uncivil,
depraved members of some species experiment.
 
There was a time, and now it is time to revive our
Code of Honour. WE ARE THE TRIBE.
You.
Me.
NOW.
This is the time….
