Remember to re-member

Re-Member
My heart’s desire differs from my Spirit’s desire, but not that much.
My heart’s desire desires you ~ the organic you, the “I touch you”, you.
My Spirit’s desire desires you ~ the universal God-in-you/me, you.
Our energies intend to be immense; but not to confine mine or yours ~
simply to re-member the two of us as we once were, when we once knew.
Finding a golden thread can take lifetimes ~ and yet, we seek: undaunted by
time and space, and often we arrive only to discover we arrive too soon or too late
….or, we don’t really arrive, at all. The Golden Threads, which define each of us
only glint when Light shines upon them, otherwise they remain hidden: quiet
secrets undeciphered, Code, a more golden Golden Mean seen only by open hearts
and Spirits riddled with wounds where Light might freely enter and settle upon…
…fields where once we battled, trapped inside a time where time held us hostage and
we could not freely flow inside the chaos of the night, so we stopped and waited. There you are.
Here I am. We, two, back together ~ attempting to re-member, to return to our original
intentions and form ~ re-connect, recognize (re-cognize/know again) (I love the origins of words).
Words, there are words. Eloquent, sharp, descriptive words. Foreign to my nature.
Hostage in my throat. (I wrote that when I was sixteen. But, that’s another poem.)
You. The simplicity of you. The complexity of us. Once, we knew.
