Known? When? Where? How?

This morning, I awoke thinking of you.  I do not
know you ~ not in this life, not really.  You seem
familiar and so, these past few months it has been
an easy road we have walked as we talk, share and
become known to one another.  How much residual
energy do we carry from life to life?  I do not know. 
But, once in a while, someone enters my life,
whom I recognize.  I have stopped ignoring it.  These
meets are important and I have vowed to acknowledge
them.  It is not the face or voice or anything visibly organic
I can point to and say, “Ah, yes, I remember you!”  No,
it is far subtler, less pinpointable: a familiar energy. 
People often smile, shake their heads ~ think I am some
sort of bimbo.  I am not.  These recognitions are genuine. 
Known.
 
And, so, this morning when I awakened it was with
gratitude, because yesterday’s nightmares lingered
as I fell off the edge of my supposed reality, last
eve, and I was skittish to enter back into deep sleep:
needed rest.  Then, you appeared and guided me
through my maze of hopes and fears and all I
recalled, upon waking, was soft laughter and a
calm sense ~ trust.  I felt emotionally safe as I
wandered back to here.  We all find one another
at the most perfect moment, don’t we? We arrive
from out there, amongst all those billions of souls
and we may not even understand we are searching.
And, yet, we find one another.  Again and again. 
Less chance, in this technological age, than in ages,
past.  Now, we are energy connected by energy.
Known.
