Without a hitch
A poem or prayer
Without a thought
That you were there
Alone is just
Alone and I
And you have been
Alone so why
Would either of
Us choose to be
Alone within
This glorious
Phosphorescence?
 
Without a prayer,
A poem, a wing
Harmonic voices
Sing and sing
And so I sing
I sing for you
This poem, this prayer
One Soul the bear
One Soul the hare
And songs well sung
Might break our heart
But we would know
It from the start.
 
Because the One
The One of I
The One of you
Together, we
Make someone new.
I hope you’ll stay
You hope I’ll stay
It’s only me
It’s only you
