Morgan Samuel Price was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Florida at the age of nine. As a child, drives through the countryside introduced her to nature and the lushness of the tropics. Her inspirational mother has always nurtured her career. After graduating from the prestigious Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida, Morgan began her professional art career at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Missouri. She worked as Creative Director in a publishing firm and as an independent architectural rendering artist. In 1972 Morgan reached a turning point, successfully embarking upon a career as a fine artist. By 1979 she was conducting workshops around the country and exhibiting in national competitive exhibitions in New York City. She has studied with many prominent artists, including Loren Wilford and Robert Carl Cogar. Today, Morgan enjoys sharing her painting expertise with others, through her worldwide painting workshops, her book Oil Painting with a Basic Palette and through instructional videos. She is also teaching “live” on the internet at academylive.com.
